Are your pupils studying the First World War in class, and would you like to bring their learning to life by organizing a guided school tour of the various important points of interest?
I organize guided tours of Verdun for school groups, enabling students to learn more about this significant period in French and world history.
For younger children (from CM1 upwards), I also offer activities designed by educators and trainers from the Parc Naturel Régional de Lorraine, enabling them to discover the Battle of Verdun through orientation and teamwork activities.
I also offer schools all-inclusive school trips to Verdun (transport, accommodation, meals, visits, entrance to sites) via my Mirabelle Tours travel agency.
For younger children (from 4th grade to middle school), I also offer activities designed by educators and teacher trainers from the Parc Naturel Régional de Lorraine, enabling them to discover the Battle of Verdun through orienteering and teamwork activities in a forest trench site.
A soldier’s path
Trace the career of soldiers from your family using genealogical research
In addition to visits to a battlefield, a trench, a memorial or any of the other tourist attractions in and around Verdun, I also accompany you on what I call a Soldier’s Path.
The probability that a member of your family took part in the fighting of 14-18 is very high, and it is possible that this or these relatives took part in the battle of Verdun. Based on a name or other identifying information, I carry out genealogical research to find the places where they fought, were wounded, killed or buried.
We can then create a customized itinerary to follow in the footsteps of your ancestors who fought for France in Lorraine or Champagne during this confrontation, which, with 1.4 million killed, was the deadliest in our country’s history.

Support Bleuet de France by visiting Verdun with your private guide
Although the Battle of Verdun ended more than 100 years ago, the various conflicts in which the French army is currently engaged have left widows and orphans in their wake.
Le Bleuet de France is a foundation whose aim is to raise funds to help war wounded, wards of the Nation, victims of terrorism and spouses of surviving partners.
With visits to the Verdun battlefield, Mémoires de Meuse makes an annual voluntary financial contribution to Bleuet de France to support the cause.
